Thanksgiving was last week as everyone knows. Drew had to work that morning, but after a short nap - we headed up to Jake and Crystal's house in Heber. It will be the last time that we visit that house! We had a delicious dinner and then just hung out on the couch playing with our babies and talking up a storm. It was very relaxed, kick back, and it was so nice! Friday, my niece was baptised so Decky and I got to spend more time with family. So with Thanksgiving in mind, I got to thinking about how much I love my family! My own little family, my giant family I came from, and the great family that I got to marry into. I couldn't be more thankful for all the support they are to me, and the abundance of love that exists between us all! There is something to say for great parents, and awesome siblings (and their spouses) that you love to be around! So THANK YOU family, for being people that I genuinely love to be around! Here are a few pictures from the weekend!

Thrift Store Treasure
SLOW DOWN Button?
Today I rocked Deckydoo to sleep for his late afternoon nap. He fell asleep without much of a fight and was sleeping so peacefully. Drew was over at a friends house, so it was just Duke (our sweet doggie) him, and me. Duke was already asleep on the couch as well... So instead of putting him up in his crib like I normally would do, I just held him. For the simple reason that, I could then just stare at him for the entire time he was asleep. I realized tonight that he won't always want to cuddle with me. He is growing too fast as it already is, with more and more clothes headed into the "too big for those" pile. Today I put on a 6-9 month button up shirt on him, and despite being slightly big, it really fit better than the smaller stuff. And it made me sad, he looked like such a little boy and less like my little newborn.
I mostly think this started because the primary program was today. And it was adorable. But all that I could really think about it how Decky would be up there in a few years and it all seemed much too close! I'm excited for him to grow and change and get to see more of his cute personality, don't get me wrong. It just also breaks my heart that he won't always be my little tiny baby boy. It's bitter sweet really. I'm sure all the other mothers out there have had the same realization many times, today was my time.
Here are a few photos I snapped on my phone this week of him... Enjoy! I sure do :)

Sleeping in my arms, while I snapped this picture... One of the only times he has taken a binkie, so I HAD to get a picture. Plus, he loves that giraffe! Chews and slobbers all over it, and holds it so tight!
Here he is with us on Friday night. His Weber grandparents were here visiting so we got to go to dinner. Soon after he fell fast asleep without a fight in that car seat and then slept through dinner. Such a good little boy! :)

Deckydoo :)
Okay people! I am BACK! And I have a goal to update this blog twice a month... Now I know that is not anything huge to most, but if you take a look at my blogging history, it really is for me! Now I have the time though, being a stay at home mommy. I know I can update this, at least during one of Deckydoo's naps.
Life has taking a serious "grown up" turn. Our bouncing baby boy is 3 months old and growing like a weed. I can not even handle it! It is amazing to look at the world through his eyes, as I get to watch him discover new things each day. His current favorites are the play gym his Grandma Amy got for him. It has a sunshine in the middle that lights up and plays music and he just giggles away underneath it. He also still really likes his vibrating bouncer chair - it has a piggy that he thinks is so funny. He is a pretty good napper and a good eater. Morning and afternoon naps - he puts himself down. I just lay him in the crib and turn on the mobile and he talks himself to sleep. The late evening nap is the only one he fights a little - but most days I don't really mind. It's just an excuse for me to hold and cuddle him until he finally goes down. Night time isn't as great as I would have hoped. Don't get me wrong, it could be worse, but it's not what I was promised. I read all these books about getting your baby to sleep throught the night by 7 weeks old. And I followed them to a T! But nope, he has slept through the night (7 + hours) 3 or 4 times. Most times he wakes up once every night, until lately - and now he is waking up twice! I don't know why... I didn't change anything! Anyhow - I don't really mind too much. I made myself a crazy grumpy cranky mom trying to follow those books, and now I just regard them as suggestions and am trying to do what works for Deckydoo and me!
He is such a sweet little spirit in our home. The perfect addition to our little family. Drew and I just love to get down on the floor with me and do all sorts of silly voices, noises and faces to get him to give us big smiles and laughs. He is beautiful in every way and just such a gift from our Heavenly Father. What a blessing! We just can not get enough of him. I am
adding this photo to prove my point (obviously not because I look good, ha). Here I am just trying to play play play with him, and he is looking at me like he totally thinks I am crazy! :)
